SureHire is seeking a Kinesiologist or Certified Personal Fitness Trainer to join our Grande Prairie team as a Lifter. Lifters represent our entire team on a daily basis, providing Fitness-to-Work and Occupational Testing services. Position Details

This career presents a great opportunity to expand your skill set and build upon your current education. Working with a close knit team for a supportive organization, you are primarily responsible for administering the Critical Strength and Mobility Testing of SureHire’s Fitness-to-Work services. In addition, you will be trained in a variety of additional occupational health tests.

This opportunity is based at SureHire’s Fort McMurray testing facility. Candidates must have their own vehicle as this position involves occasional travel to client sites. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional overtime when After-hours or Onsite testing is required by clients. Starting wage is dependent upon a candidate’s experience and level of education. Benefits are also available after three months.


  • Assist with client intake and general office duties

    • Greeting clients

    • Verifying identification

    • Prepare required paperwork

  • Conduct Critical Strength and Mobility Testing

  • Demonstrate proper lifting technique to clients

  • Ensure proper lifting techniques are being used

  • Monitor heart rate and oxygen levels

  • Assist Medical Assessors team members with muscular-skeletal assessments by performing:

    • Blood pressure

    • Height, weight

    • Grip strength

  • Conduct a variety of Occupational Testing services

    • Urine analysis

    • Breath alcohol

    • Audiometry

    • Spirometry

    • Vision

    • Mask Fitting

    • Ensure accuracy on all completed paperwork before submitted it for review

This position requires someone who is ready and willing for continual learning as policies and procedures are updated. Additionally, an individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to effectively work as a team.


Successful completion of one of the following is mandatory: Personal Fitness Training Certificate/Diploma or Kinesiology Degree, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant. Additionally, the following certifications are considered strong assets, though not required: CSEP-CPT, CSEP-CEP, AFLCA, NCSF, ISSA, ACE or CanFit Pro certification.


A minimum of one to two years’ experience in a customer service field is required.
